Updated- two more new options added since this morning.
I’m really not sure how or why I got so hung up on the idea of putting together a kit, but after several rounds in my sketch book and a few hours with Ryan I’ve come up with some concepts and color schemes.
First up is grass. It’s mostly grays with some grass green accents.
After Ryan and I hammered out the general template in the grass concept I put it through some further iterations with slightly different color combinations and layouts.
The direct descendant is the lime variant shown below- same gray scale concept but with a much brighter green, or lime as I call it.
Tweaking the lime theme to be a little more summer-friendly is the lime evo.
Keeping with the green theme is this option that blends the grass and mint greens together to be sort of British racing/retro race car combo called dual green.
Switching gears from green to blue is the grass/lime concept with a cyan stripe. It’s consistent with last year’s decal and shirt run. The response to that concept was very positive so here’s what those colors look like on a kit.
Last but not least is the dual blue. Much like the dual green this is a tweak on the cyan option shown above.
Update- here’s the last one again with the blues switched, or blue 3.
Here’s a wild card- olive and cyan. As I played around with this one I did some more blue/green against the grain combos.
This is on the lighter side and features a slightly toned down lime and cyan combo. The bottoms half of the jersey is the consistent dark gray/black setup with the back being the same color as the upper front of the jersey.
A variation on the same theme with the light blue and green but with a lighter gray on the front and carrying over to the back.
If you have an opinion go ahead and drop me a comment. Pricing looks like it’s going to be $80 for a jersey and bibshort combo and I will have both men’s and women’s sizes with more details to follow once I get the design nailed down.
Still liking the first two green/lime with the black. The others are cool too though. Green and black would look great in the woods.
What… no hunting season kit? I suppose RealTree is trademarked.
Plenty of good options, I like (possibly in order)…
Lime
Dueling Greens
Grass
Blue3
Cyan Stripe
… this probably doesn’t help narrow it down…
I do actually have a flannel-inspired kit design. Not passe argyle, but legit backwoods flannel like the Syncros team jersey from the mid-90s. In the event this ends up being the only pro-35 kit I thought I should go with something a little more…normal.
Olive and cyan.
Mostly blue looks alot like the met-life kit. Blue, IMO, is pretty played out in 2013.
Plus it makes me think of this:

Which makes me happy.
Agree with you on all fronts, and I’d be lying if I denied the Speedvagen influence. Garmin has ruined blue for me, but I’m afraid that green is the new blue and will suffer the same fate.
