This winter has been interesting. It’s been bitter cold or well above freezing without consistent snow cover. Skiing has been challenging- not terrible, but challenging given that there have been so many dramatic temperature fluctuations.
And there’s been my back rehab. It’s been going really well and I didn’t fully realize how bad it had gotten, but I still sometimes feel a little hobbly out on the snow. Hobbly? Really just semi- off balance. Maybe it’s a ski issue, but more likely I’m just uncoordinated.
Training has started in earnest and has mostly been running. I got my PowerTap wheel relaced into a new rim ( H+Son Archetype) so this week I’ll get some roller time going again. It’s not like I love riding the rollers, but it does give me an all weather option for a reliable workout.
Hopefully this weekend I’ll get some multi-sport training this weekend with running, riding and/or skiing.
h-plus son rim. please share your thoughts. g-dub built?
The rim looks cool and is reasonably stiff, but I haven’t gotten to ride it outside yet so I can’t offer any informed opinion. The hard ano sidewalls are probably going to get wear marks on them a la Mavic GL 330s, but that’s fine.
Build was by a local guy who’s unaffiliated.
Can you e-mail me the who’s and what’s on that builder?
