Separating my life from my plans has proven difficult.
Looking at the events of last week it’s easy for me to feel like my life fell apart when my plans to move were crushed when the house sale fell through. Upon reflection I realized my life is actually fine- I have a place to live, a good job, friends, and cool bikes to ride- it’s the plans that were lost. Huh.
As much as I’d like to try to be Zen about things like this I’m really not, and I’m realizing that real estate transactions are really like airline travel where success is likely but not guaranteed; nobody can promise you that if you do everything you’re supposed to do that it will fall into place. Because it very well may not.
So now I’m laying out a race schedule on the East Coast, and I’m looking at the next couple months as a chance to really enjoy summer in Vermont. The Catamount Pro XCT (in the chucklehead category of course), the Hampshire 100 and some other events are likely to be on my calendar. And this weekend I might get to race my first Super D if things line up properly.
Also on the list are some foam dome Pro-35 hats. Cris doesn’t think the GTI logo will transfer well so I may have to go for the M is for Mountain instead.
Cris also has a sweet new logo and access to a die cut machine. Maybe I’ll get some die cuts made?
And maybe now I’ll get down to visit Wayward before I shove off.
Wait, you’re staying longer now? Through the summer?
Not what I’d planned on, but yes.
Hi Matt! We were sorry to hear that, that must be so frustrating. At least you can come visit.
